8/24/20261 min read

The esplanade of Ngomessan Public Nursery School in Mengong Sub-Division served as the venue on Wednesday, October 7th, 2026, for the official opening ceremony of The Belinga Foundation activities for the 2026/2027 season.

Placed under the auspices of the Pedagogic Inspector for Basic Education, the ceremony took place in the presence of the Regional Coordinator, Personal Representative of Prof. Steve Félix Belinga, the Head of the Education Department, Head Teachers, and a large crowd who came to cheer the kids.

For this new season, the Education pillar opened with the flagship initiative "Sikolo A Ne Nfi", bringing together pupils from 4 nursery schools and 5 primary schools.

For about 120 minutes, despite harsh sun and an unexpected shower, the audience was thrilled by a rich program: "Match of the Brainiest" intellectual challenge, modern and Ekang heritage dance competition for cultural preservation, beauty pageant and sports events.

The best pupils and their teachers left the stage with certificates of excellence, school kits, incentive bonuses and the champions' trophy for the football tournament organized for the occasion, to the great satisfaction of all participants.

Next step: November. But before that, "Soir au village" and "Santé Zéro" will take over to keep the Foundation's 5 pillars alive across towns and villages of the South Region.
