Saturday, July 12, 2025 marked the official opening of the 4th edition of the BIA S Festival MENGONG International Festival.
The event, which was held at COCAM Stadium in Mengong, was presided over by Technical Advisor No. 1 at the Ministry of Arts and Culture, in the presence of many administrative, political and cultural personalities.
Under the general supervision of Professor Steve Felix Belinga, promoter and managing director of The Belinga Foundation, the festival has officially acquired the status
of an international cultural event, confirming its rise in power and radiance beyond the borders of Cameroon.

During the grand opening parade, the brewing of cultures from the North, South, East and West of Cameroon was highlighted in all its richness. This cultural diversity,
proudly presented, embodies living together so valued by His Excellency Paul Biya, President of the Republic of Cameroon.
BIA S ultur MENGONG thus becomes a showcase of Cameroonian multiculturalism, offering a space for dialogue and celebration of local identities.
Five brother countries of Africa at the meeting
The 2025 edition of the festival was also distinguished by the participation of five friendly African countries: Nigeria, Gabon, Central African Republic, Congo and Equatorial Guinea. Guests by The Belinga Foundation, these countries presented their cultures through:
- Vibrant heritage dances
- Traditional Outfits are rocking
- Typical gastronomic dishes
- Various cultural exhibitions
The festival thus allowed visitors to take a horizon tour of African heritage in a fraternal and festive atmosphere.
Back to African cultural sources?
This cultural initiative has a strong vision: to reconnect Africa to its roots. In the face of the historical domination of Western culture, which has often-fragmented African societies, BIA S que MENGONG acts as a catalyst for identity renewal.
Through such manifestations, a continental dynamic seems to emerge, revealing an awakening of African consciences in search of their cultural essence.
