The Bia So Mengong Festival is a nugget that sits tall in the golden nugget of sustainable development that is culture.
The theme of the 4th edition of the Bia So Mengong Festival has definitely left the abstract field of a single idea to become a massively appreciated, empirically lived action.
On July 12, 2025, the opening day of the 4th edition of the festival, guests from all walks of life saw manifest the desire to do together, the conviction to consider differences or,
better yet, to integrate them into a dynamic where diversity does not mean adversity, but the wealth of infinite possibilities.
We've seen the streets of Mengong transformed into a giant boulevard where each avenue is an open path to the celebration of the genius of an event that unites energies.
Do we have to mention the enthusiasm read in the admiring, dreamy look of every riverwalker?
Do you have to put a word on the bright smile of each exhibitor installed in the festival village, located at the Mengong High School?
What is the word to say the strength of diversity, put into music, in steps and in harmony by the genius of every child, emerging artist to be honest,
remembered for the great multicultural and multinational parade, which was greeted by a thunders of applause?
The people, what do I say, the world has seen in every joint and every strap, the desire to gather,
share, unite talents. The world admired the heartfelt gesture of a promoter who, more than ever, knows that one will never have enough life to live
one's own life to the fullest, but that making the other live through an outstretched hand can, in the end, be the only way to live a thousand lives
in support so tight with this too fleeting life. So that's 560 young volunteers who will be activated.
These are members of the oven and mill staff.
These are authorities from the highest peak of culture, artists validated by Francophonie, traditional authorities, artisans and other populations
who will, each and every in their own way, give their energy for an opening ceremony that the trees will still speak, even when the Time has suspended its flight.
And because it takes everything and everyone to move forward, the communities of Gabon, RCA,
Nigeria, Congo and Equatorial Guinea have, too, associated their rhythms with the grand parade orchestra. A parade, it must be said,
performed to the live music of an orchestra where the balafon, castagnettes, tam-tams and drums harmonize finely with trumpets and
other saxophones to offer festivalgoers a melodic and pleasant delight.
