It’s harvest time in the various fields of the Bia so Mengong festival, which today enters its home stretch.On the program for the day is an ascent of Mount Ondondo, the semi-finals of the two soccer tournaments, the final of the Miss contest and an evening at the Yemfek village.
From the first light of dawn, some 80 athletes, warmly applauded by the inhabitants of the village of Koungoulou, set off to conquer the mythical Mount Ondondo, with the following results :

The other sporting highlight of the day was the four semi-finals of the men’s and women’s soccer tournaments.In the men’s competition, Fortissimo crushed USA d’Abiete 4 goals to nil, while Tikari beat Reims 2 goals to nil.In women’s football, Doum FC beat Mengong Yat FC 5 goals to nil, while Fortissimo beat Nkolbembe 2 goals to nil.
The day continued with what is undoubtedly the highlight of the cultural activities at this year’s festival, the Miss election. For this second round, our beauty queens took to the catwalk in traditional dress, evening wear and, above all, a piece of handiwork.At the end of the suspense, Ngono Esther Fanny was elected this year’s most beautiful woman of the county. Abeng Daniella took first runner-up spot and Mendomo Eyizo’o Anastasie closed the podium.
